Top Baby & Toddler Programs in Innisfil + Where to Meet Other Moms

Are You a New or Expecting Mom in Innisfil, Ontario?

Well, you're in luck! This vibrant and growing town offers a variety of engaging programs for you and your little one(s). From interactive sessions at the local library to supportive mom-and-baby groups, there's something for everyone. As a new mom who moved from the city to small-town Innisfil, I went through a lot of trial and error trying to find community and connection. So, I put together this local guide to the best baby and toddler programs in Innisfil—perfect for any parent looking to get out, meet others, and make memories.

EarlyON Stay, Play, and Learn – Innisfil Library

EarlyON programs are offered at many Simcoe County library branches, but my personal favourite is the Lakeshore Branch in Alcona. During my maternity leave, I regularly attended the Stay, Play, and Learn sessions—an inviting space for children aged 0–6 to explore, play, and grow.

They even have a dedicated room tucked just past the children’s book section, which makes it feel like a special little world for your kids. It was the perfect place for my toddler and baby to play side-by-side, and for me to meet other moms going through the same wild stage of life. The program focuses on early learning through inquiry-based activities that support your child’s development—and let's be real, it's a lifesaver for keeping busy little hands occupied.

Innisfil Library Storytime – Drop-In Fun for Littles

The Lakeshore Library Branch also hosts a drop-in Storytime for young children, and it’s just as magical as it sounds. Think read-alouds, songs, fingerplays, and plenty of movement to keep toddlers engaged (read: not running wild). It’s a community favourite, with many local in-home daycares attending as well, so there’s always a great mix of kids and caregivers.

For me, it was more than just stories—it was where I first found my circle. I met amazing local moms here, and years later, we're still in touch.

Mommy Connections South Simcoe – Classes for Moms & Babies

If you’re looking for something more structured and supportive, Mommy Connections South Simcoe runs amazing programs for moms with babies aged 0–7 months. Their Mom & Baby classes offer expert-led discussions, a rotating lineup of baby-friendly activities (think baby yoga, massage, music), and a space to build friendships with other moms who are navigating the same sleepless nights and endless laundry piles.

Sessions are held at local venues, which makes them super accessible for Innisfil families.

I’ve also had the joy of photographing some of their adorable Travelling Tots sessions, and let me tell you—those little explorers bring all the personality. It’s one of my favourite ways to combine storytelling and photography: capturing kids being curious, silly, and exactly who they are in the moment.

Let’s Tell Your Story

These local programs have been such a lifeline for me—not just as a mom, but also as a photographer. It’s where I saw just how important it is to capture the everyday magic: a snuggle during storytime, a baby belly-laugh, a mom finally feeling seen.

As the heart behind Your Photo Journal Photography, I offer lifestyle family photography right here in Innisfil and South Simcoe. Whether you’re snuggling a newborn, chasing a toddler, or finally booking those long-overdue family photos—I’d love to help you tell your story, just as it is.
